Pseudolus wrote:In "Radical Brewing", Mosher talks about his "Nirvana Chanterelle Ale". He makes what looks like a strongish Belgian dubbel, all the way through fermentation. He also soaks 1/2 lb of chanterelle mushrooms, soaks them in vodka for a couple weeks, then strains it all through a coffee filter. The vodka gets added to the beer right at bottling/kegging time (the mushrooms themselves get discarded).

I have heard a certain homebrew legend makes this. You might try contacting Denny Conn about this in a pm or on one of the other forums. I have seen him mention doing this on the northernbrewer forum a few times
