Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome. I live in Birmingham, Alabama. I'm a self employed contractor.
I grew up here, but spent 25 years living other places after I left high school. !5 years in the northwest (mostly Montana), and another 9 years in North Carolina...5 years on the Outer Banks, and 4 years in the mountains near Asheville.
Being single and my other 3 brew partners married, I was volunteered to be the brew-master, and my house the brewery.
We've finished 3 all grain beers, and are doing our 4th today. We're all hop heads (who isn't), and have been brewing AIPA's.
Our 1st wasn't any good, although it looked beautiful. Our 2nd was better and our 3rd (just going into the bottle) was even better.
Now we have things down pat and are ready to branch out some. We're gonna do a coffee stout after this AIPA. Then it's gonna be on to kegging, I can tell.
I listened to the full show on the BrewNetwork yesterday for the first time and loved it!! The Blues really worked good for me. We listened all day (that's central time!) and then I sat and listened to Charlie P (BrewFather/Godfather music slowly playing in the background) till the end of the show.
You guys do a great job!! I'll be listening next week and beyond! No commercial radio...yeah!
I hope the chat feature will get ironed out. I enjoyed it, until it got busy, and it quit functioning correctly for me.
Thanks again for the warm welcome.
Al Scott
