The five barrel pilot system at Odell Brewing has this. You can just see it on the left side of my avatar pic.

Anyone construct a hopper to dispense the grains? I'm thinking about that when I set up in my basement. Hang hopper from ceiling, slide open small door on bottom and stir as grain dumps into mash tun at desired rate.

Actually don't think it would take that much work at all...all you would need is a sloped bin with a sliding door on the bottom(would need to figure out what size the hole needs to be though)

other than that I guess mounting it might be difficult..depends if you have a permanent brewery location or not

Well, I tend to overbuild and overdo things... so I may be picturing something different... :P

I think that I would just get a buddy to hold my sack and pour the grain for me.
yep, spider, my sack.
I'd rather spend my time and energy, elsewhere.
Just saying...

With a slide opening you just make the hole big enough. If you want it slower, only open part way. I was thinking about a canvas bin/hopper, with metal or plastic at the bottom, maybe duct pieces or something.
