Lagering Fridge

Wed Apr 12, 2006 4:49 pm

Yep, I have been mentioning this damn Fridge on and off for the last year. More so recently as I find that its time for some cold-fermentation styles. So, I finally went out to the garage to remove the shelves and get the thing fired up and see what kind of temps I can get. Well after 10 minutes this thing is down to 40°F. I think the time has come to do some Lagers,Pilsners, Helles, and Kolsch.

It aint the prettiest thing in the world, but the price was right (free).

I am going have to agree with Dr. Scott.

HH, that's the schit. I would put back enough shelving to get two levels for fermenters/conditioning vessels/whatevers. It's tall enough for that. If it's empty you can climb in and relay messages to the mothership.

haha funny you should say that rich. Yesterday I was inside of the damn thing. I though to myself if I were a beer this is where I would want to be. I was pretty surprised I could get my whole body inside, then I started to freak out a bit. Brought back memories of when I got myself locked in the "cedar chest" as a kid. :P  I do plan to replace the large shelf for whatevers etc....
