I heard wyyeast is doing a special packaging for one company and there kits. Not expected to release under the wyeast name. I know you can culture pac man out of a bottle of Shakespeare Stout.

I saw PacMan in my LHBS Friday (Wyeast I think). I remember the handwritten sign "Pacman is back".

I'd check the date on those packs before I used them...

Actually now that I think about it, the yeast was Cry Havoc. I get those named yeasts mixed up sometimes

I think they plan to release it for general sale again other than as part of the above mentioned kits. On the other hand, I found a year old pack in the back of my fridge. I successfully revived it a brewed an IPA with it. Just kegged it yesterday and it tastes wonderful! Most of that yeast cake is happily bubbling away in a barleywine and the rest is awaiting my next brew.

I had horrible luck with pac man. It was like a turbo charged 1056 on crack. Keeping it at a constant temp was rough.

Found out from my LBS PacMan is now available and for sale.
I am expecting mine this Friday so I can try brewing the Deadguy Ale kit that just came out.
