Pirates Baseball
rebuilding since 1992
if anyone is in or around the burgh this summer, check out PNC Park. It's very nice, the seats are cheap and always available and grab a Permanni's sandwich and a cold Vitamin I. Now that's what summer is about!!!
Not that it has anythign to do with baseball, but I like your Av and I'm a diehard Steeler fan, born near Pittsburgh. Here we go!
As for the Boston Beer Works, they were on that Beer Nuts show i was talking about in another thread. They had some excellent stories about their beers there. Nice lookin pub' as well.
Oh, and let's go Tribe! Cleveland all the way this year.
I'm hearing it's a lot more hit and miss than it used to be .. granted the Salem (farthest away location) Beer Works is the one I heard most about going downhill.
Beer Works was founded by 2 brothers - a brewer and a lawyer. The brewer brother is out of the business now and it's solely owned by the lawyer. He seems to be more concerned with branding and expanding to a 4th location in Lowell,MA - you know when Justin talks about how much of a hole Pacheco is? Imagine that on steroids = Lowell.
The guys in Salem haven't had IPA for a month, and now they're out of Pale ale constantly. Each of the three locations brews different styles and they're shipped to all 3. Which is cool because you might go in and find 12 styles on tap. It's not cool because one of the Boston locations is responsible for brewing the IPA for all 3, and none of it has been making it to the Salem location.
Not that any of that really matters to someone going to Fenway - the Fenway location will still be well stocked
