Keg keeping pressure.

Thu Jan 10, 2008 8:52 pm

I have noticed that if I turn off the pressure to my kegs of beer that they lose some of the pressure. Im pretty darn sure I have no leaks as my tank has lasted for over 6 months and numerous kegs..

I had my tank disconnected for a day and my keg lost most of the pressure.. It was however still connected to everthing and no check valves were closed. Is this normal??

Could it be that the CO2 was just absorbed? I've noticed the same thing. I need to get off my ass and order that manifold so I can carb more than one keg at a time!

StarSan is a great leak detector as well. I've killed 2 CO2 tanks when I did not know any better.

IF you do not want to buy a manifold, you can build one out of individual fittings. I use 2 regulators and t-fittings to split each. I'll have to tak a pic...it's simple and expandable.
