I'll use it almost any time I think to to the prep before I rack. That's maybe half the time that the haze would warrant it. Even if I'm going to let the keg sit a while and clear naturally, it is nice to keep it stuck to the bottom when the keg gets moved a little.

Best gelatine tip I have is to let it bloom. Sprinkle the stuff in sterile water or canned beer (I keep some bud light around just for this) and let it sit without stirring for 15 min. then microwave for 15 sec and the gelatine dissapears like magic.

Good advice...I just use the C02 to start my siphon, i'll refrain from jumping carboys with preasure...Who know's, you might have just saved my life. I am indebted to you forever.... :roll:
