2010 - Brandon from Nashville was the caller.

I don't remember the exact show, but if they were giving stuff away, then it was probably a show that Chris Graham was on and he was drunk.

It was specifically to the caller after he talked about losing his kegerator & they donated some Perlick taps (& shanks, I think). Not one of Chris's 'moments' that time. I seem to remember one of them calling in after Brandon was off the phone to donate them & help him out. Maybe Chris was just listening drunk & called in, I really don't remember. It's been so long since I've heard it, so I details are fuzzy at best & may have screwed a couple up, but that's what I remember from it. Anyone know which episode it was off hand?

Never heard of Corolla before the show, or if I did, it didn't make an impression. Still don't quite get why he was a guest on the show. There wasn't much beer focus in the show and it never drew me in. For me, it wasn't a great show, but so what? They've been doing ~3 shows a month for a long time. Can't expect all of them to please me. But if a show periodically doesn't do it for me, there are also some great shows that come up that are worth listening to several times. In 2012, the Chad Yakobson/Crooked Staff/Brett show comes to mind.

Adam Corolla gained notariety in the late 90's with the highly acclaimed radio show "Love Lines" with co host Dr. Drew Pinsky. Dr. Drew was the straight man, and Adam was the cut up, but they both offered candid advice to young people having issues dealing with emotions, sexuality, and other more grown up problems.
He then went on to co-host the "Man Show" on the comedy network with Jimmy Kimmel. Since then, he's had his own Satelite Radio show.

He's a very well known dude.

Yeah, I googled him and figured some of this out. I haven't paid much attention to anything on TV for some time, so I was pretty much ignorant of all of that. Since the homebrewing connection was... weak, and I only had some glimmer of knowledge of the guy's fame and accomplishments, that segment of the show didn't hold much meaning for me. But as I was saying, not all shows have to connect with me. Enough of them do that I keep listening and continue to permit the BN to tap my paypal account for a measly $2 per month.

Yep that was me....It's the 5/16/10 show about 3 hours in.

That night I knew I would always be a Brewing Network supporter. I won't say the name of the person that made all that happen who worked at More Beer at the time since he wants everyone to think he's a grump, but his initials are JP :D .

I don't check the forums everyday and don't get the chance to listen to the shows much anymore (the last one was the Brett show with Chad), but never the less I still support the BN every month because I believe in what the BN does for brewers and the community.

BTW...all those homebrews ended up having to be dumped a couple weeks later except 1 that was inside and upstairs

Ah... he opened Heretic Brewing, an by all accounts they are kicking ass. I hesitate to overcharacterize the OP as a whiner, but most of the recent posts I've seen have been to bitch about something or another.

I don't think Plise comes across that grumpy...

I just finished listening to the show and the Corolla interview was awesome. Being a Corolla fan, he was perfectly cool in this interview. Being a douche is his shtick and always has been. I was actually surprised he wasn't more of one in the interview. Justin and crew were more than reverent, and the fact that it wasn't completely focused on mangria makes sense being that he's one of Justin's idols and why wouldn't Justin want to make a great interview above and beyond the drink.

The real question is why the hell would they let JP do stand-up?

I've been saying for years that JP should do stand up. Sure, he needs to write better material. But his strength is thinking on his feet.
