I realize this is not a very large discount from our retail price though we've had many inquiries from homebrew stores and breweries who have been ordering these by the full box and we would like to make it known that right now they are currently available.

And yes, I know these hops are not cheap. They cost us a lot to bring in (financially, time sweat and bloodwise... these were..unconventional methods of acquisition, I will say no more)... Our current supply will definitely not last us until the next crop comes in.

Out of interest, when do you expect the next crop to come in and be available for homebrewers?

Excellent questions. I anticipate having our 2012 crop supply of Citra and Simcoe in November or December. As for Amarillo I still do not have a guarantee I will get them, which I assume means most homebrew shops will not either. I have contracted to buy a good amount of Citra and Simcoe though so my prices will definitely be lower but I cannot speak for other shops as to my knowledge they have been sold out on contract from all distributors and it is not anticipated that there will be any available on the spot market (un-contracted).

Sorry it's not exactly black and white, but I would try to get what you can of Amarillo, and what you'll need from now until around the end of the year of Citra and Simcoe. Thanks for the questions.

As someone who has had to deal with this sort of thing on a much smaller scale than Niko, stuff certainly is spotty. Many places have dried up in terms of A, C and S, so if you want it, get it now.

Centennial is drying up as well. That hasn't been noticed much on a homebrewer scale but from the 2011 crop it definitely is. We have some left and I'm working on getting more.

Please don't take this the wrong way but DAMN these prices.... Now I will say that you have some of the best prices out there and I would rather suport shopps like you and Jade's and deffenatly my local shop. But when are the prices going to go back down? (I know they probally arnt and you all have to be able to pay your employees and feed your familly's) Like I said before PLEASE don't take offence to this post. P.S. I hope to have some extra cash at the end of June to be able to buy some Amm's from you. Cheers all!

The price will go back down when the demand goes back down... Since we are running up on the end of the supply, A & S are only going to get harder if not impossible to find until next harvest.

Simcoe and Citra will be more abundant with this next crop and our price on them will be going down significantly once that happens. I don't have any guarantee I'll even have Amarillo next year (didn't think I'd have it this year but I worked some deals to get it, we don't follow your standard method of product acquisition at all times, so one day we may not have a variety the next day we may and the price will vary accordingly), so I don't anticipate the price on that changing.

We had some Citra and Simcoe on contract this year and we ran out quickly. What we're selling now cost us over twice as much as our contract price, so according to standard retail markup the prices should actually be higher believe it or not. Once our stock levels of these go down to a certain point we will change them to just 2oz packs priced at $5.50/each. Actually that's what we're doing with Citra shortly as they're offline (sold fast), they're going to be listed in 2oz packs very soon.
