Cornhole is staying at the Cornhusker (Marriot) downtown. There will be a lot of corn going on.

You will need to check out the downtown location of Misty's Steakhouse and Brewery. The Modern Monks Brewery is located there and is operated by a couple members of the Lincoln Lagers Homebrew Club. http://www.mistyslincoln.com/ordereze/default.aspx They have lots of great beer and Misty's prime rib is the best around. It is only about 3-4 blocks from the Cornhusker.

Down in the Haymarket, still within walking distance, is Lazlos Brewery and Grill. http://www.lazlosbreweryandgrill.com/ They also have decent food and are the home of Empyrean Ales. On their regular beer menu, Burning Skye (a Scottish 60) and their ESB are probably the best (though not world class by any means). Before trying any of those, check out whatever their seasonal is first. Quite often these are the winners of the BeerQuest Homebrew competition that is held about 4 times a year. These are often the best beers there.

For just some place to drink great beers check out either Jakes Cigar Bar http://www.jakescigars.com/bg1/ or Yia Yia's http://www.yiayiaspizza.com/ Both of these are within walking/stumbling distance of the Cornhusker.

Looks like Bug beat me to it, what he said. Have a good time! There won't be any BeerQuest winners on tap when you are here this week at Lazlo's. The mango IPA did not last long. The Fallen Angel Sweet stout should be on tap and is quite good and popular. They generally have a second seasonal, which the last time I was there was a wheat wine. They were working on developing an IPA recipe that was on tap recently, but I heard yesterdy is that it is gone :cry: From their regular beers, the Third Stone brown and ESB are my favorite.

As of Friday, these were the beers Jake's had on tap. Good beer selection if you don't mind cigar smoke:

Beers on Tap::Fallen Angel coffee and cocoa nip infusion::Guinness::Boddingtons::Old Rasputin::Biere de Mars::Lindemans Frambois::Hoegaarden::Reisdorff Kolsch::Chocolate Stout::Hop Head Red::Banana Bread Beer::La Follie::Ruthless::Myrcenary::Matilda::Blanche de Chambly::Old Ruffian::Fallen Angel::
