I just had my first cans of Bitter American (here on the east coast) last night. What a great session ale!! Load of hop aroma and flavor without the huge malt bill and abv. I've got the grains to brew an APA based on Tasty's apa, and am considering Chinnok/Simco/Amarillo for hops.
Any idea what hops are used on Bitter American? Is there an accurate clone recipe out there for it? Curious, as it was really great, and I'm guessing it's also a brew that is ready to drink pretty quickly too given the low abv.
