I don't understand what you mean, Lufah. Are you saying you wouldn't do that? ;)

OK, I will bow to the wisdom of the site and get another big aluminum pot for the turkey. The wife even pointed out that at the price of the big pot and the lifter basket I might as well get the burner kit too. Oh well, if I have to get another burner for my HLT, so be it!

Dude, the wife has sidned off on it, get to the store and make sure you get two. My lady asked if there was a "cleaner way" to roast my coffee beans and I took the cue to order up a sweet Zack and Dani's.

The best part of it was that when I went to the store, the same setup that they are selling online for $60 was for sale for $40. Burner, pot and lifter. Not the finest cookware in the world, but all I wanted was the burner. Ill hit the store again the day after Thanksgiving to see if they put any remaining kits on super sale.

Plus, for anyone thinking of roasting the turkey, skip the big 3 or 4 gallon bottle of "frying oil" which is 70% soybean, 20% peanut and 10% others and go get the bottles of pure peanut oil. It was cheaper to buy it by the gallon than get the big bottle. If pure peanut isn't your thing, you can do your own mix.

Wouldn't suprise me if Krotch's kettle DOES get a turkey fried in it this year...
