WTF~!!! Nottingham yeast

LAst time I bought a this it was $1.40 a package

Now they want $3.99?
WTF???
I knew that QE 1 and 2 devalued my savings by 20% but this is insane.
HEY~!! It's a hobby~!! It's NOT supposed to make sense~!!

Yeah and on top of that, many people haven't forgotten how last year they had bad packages of yeast that were giving 48-60 hr lag times. Ruined one of my batches, had to pitch another packet after the first hadn't started (36hrs).

Sticking to Safale & Wyeast...

Nottingham is only $1.49 here. I only used it once. Tossed two packs in a 5 gallon batch. Fermented well.

At your LHBS? They prolly have older stock they paid $0.50 a pak for

My LHBS is a section of a co-op 12 miles away that has a few grains, yeast, hops and Brewer's Best extract kits. They carry Danstar and Safale dry yeasts as well as a few popular White Labs. The current stock of Danstar is the new packaging that is vacuum sealed. The price didn't change one bit.
