Have the financing but not the skills.

Thu Jul 28, 2011 10:02 pm

I started homebrewing in March of this year and haven't even gone AG yet. It's going to happen this summer, just have other priorities ahead of it.

Long story short, a casual conversation of "I think it would be neat to open a microbrewery or brewpub" turned into I've got a half dozen investors on standby to invest a total of $2 million for the project whenever I say "Go".

Me and my big mouth. What did I get myself into? :drink

If you take what I post here literally, you're retarded. I'm here to fuck around, have a good time, and learn about beer. You mean nothing to me and I mean nothing to you.

This is always the sign that the bottom is about to fall out of the market.

Hire a brewery consultant and a head brewer and take the plunge.

Who are these investors? I've got a bridge in Brooklyn they'd probably be interested in.

Quin, sound advice. Not having the skills, as you say, this would be a great idea. You could get into it on the "ground floor" level, and see where it goes. Plus you could have some good beers and know that you helped make it happen.
Good luck! I hope something comes out of that casual conversation. :jnj
