Sorry everybody for bringing the thread back on topic (I know: shame on me), but there's something that strikes me as odd: the guy shoots himself, with the gun just a few inches from his leg, and at an almost tangential angle, and there's no burns on his skin, and the entry wound is perfectly round?

Is it me, or that video smells like BS?

Powder burn wouldn't be on the skin, since it's protected by clothing. Most entrance wounds from gunshots are round in profile as the bullet hasn't expanded yet (if a JHP). FMJ or TMJ bullets wouldn't expand in soft tissue like that, unless it yawed after striking a hard structure like bone and even then it's usually deformed and not expanded. Furthermore, since the wound received medical care, it's SOP (standard operational procedure) to clean the wound by trimming destroyed tissues thereby reducing chance of torn sutures, infection, and scarring.
