Before the next door neighbor built his house, I would get deer in the back yard eating the spent grain. They would eat about half before running off. I can tell you that they didn't like mash hops. They wouldn't touch my Tasty APA grains. Oddly, the squirrels don't eat any of it.

Does anyone know if chickens will eat spent grains?

Before I moved back to town, the wild turkeys sure ate mine.

A few years ago I was living in a semi-rural area and the sheep and goats over the fence would come from the other side of my neighbours property to eat the spent grain I dumped over the fence.

Probably should have checked with the neighbours. Might have got a game on their floodlit tennis court out of it, or at least a swim in the landscaped pool.
