before this invention, the plastic cup cost 10 times more than the beer in it. Now, the plastic cup costs 50 times more than the beer inside it. I guess paying $8 for a bud goes to R&D.

That's what I was thinking.
The injection molding would require an insert of some sort pre loaded into the mold. The insert would be molded in another process.
Or maybe a dual shoot of different polymers in one mold shot -- but still the cost to produce and shoot the molds is way high for a disposable cup
