I like Perle, EKG, Liberty and Willamette but I think you can find some overlapping hops like Magnum that work well in both hop bombs and styles with a more subdued hoppiness. I recently made a mild that used very small quantities of a few high alpha American varieties early in the boil that I think is my best mild to date and it doesn't have any of the characteristics that you'd normally associate with hops like CTZ or Apollo.
