Sam Adams Winter Classic Case

Ok..it's me...Sam Adams fanboy.

So a server crash this week, 2 days of hell and I decide I'm going to buy myself a new toy ( PS3 Move Bundle ). So I go to BJ's ( the wholesale club, not the restaurant ) and run across cases of Sam Adams Winter Classics for $21.99. I love this seasonal pack...Old Fezziwig, Winter Lager, Holiday Porter, Boston Lager...everything except that $@#^%#^ Cranberry Lambic.

But wait...it's not there. They have replaced it with Chocolate Bock!!! Usually can only get this beer every other year.

Way to go Sam Adams!!!

Sweet, I'm off to costco! I really feel like SA has kicked it up a notch over the last couple of years, the quality of their beers has been awesome. Case in point I just tried their honey porter and loved it! The nobel pils last spring was fantastic, and I love their chocolate bock. Say what you want about them and the whole tax thing but they are still IMHO putting out solid well crafted beer.

Prost! and thanks for the heads up.

Chocolate bock, you say? Will def. be on the lookout. That used to only be bottled in larger bottles didn't it?

I did the winter variety packs myself, but haven't run into Chocolate Bock yet. Will have to pick up a case and check it out! I prefer the Fat Tire winter pack to the Sam Adams, though, I must confess.

How long will the Chocolate Bock age for in cold storage? I can't remember when I purchased mine, but I think it's been several months.

Last weekend we tried some of the Chocolate Bock and Old Fezziwig at a holiday beer festival at Beertopia in Omaha. We very much enjoyed both of them. I may have tried the Cranberry Lambic as well. Need to check the event program to be sure.
