wild hops

Wed Oct 04, 2006 8:58 am

When I was out running during lunch today, I came by some hop plans that were growing on the side of the road. The flowers were already brow, but they had lulipin glands and a nice aroma. Does anyone know if there are wild hop species in the north east?

Mabe I'll try to find some more and even transplant some rizomes into my yard. The aroma was typical hop aroma so I think they can definately be used in brewing.
