Crystal 120 Substitute?

I unfortunately don't have access to Crystal 120 but this is what i do have that's close:

Crystal 75
Special B (147L)
Crystal 150
CaraAroma (150L)
Pale Chocolate (200L)

It's for an American Amber Ale. Any advice?

I think that you could go with a blend of the 150 and 75. The flavors will not be the same as the 120, but it will give you the color you are looking for and a range of crystal malt flavors. Should make for an interesting amber, go for it man!

+1. I agree with Mills. The 150 and the 75 will not be the same but will be an interesting mix that will come as close as you will be able to given those grains.

Favor the 150 a little if you are interested more in the flavor, rather than the color. 120 has a dried fruit character to it that is also present in 150 but not as much in 75.

Special B is the closest to the 120 as you are going to get. Even tasting the grains side by side they are very similar. If you are putting it in an Amber, 1 lbs is more than enough and it should not matter either way 150 + 75 or Special B.
