Willamette is a better substitute for East Kent Golding than Hallertau Mittelfruh. As Chupa mentioned, Wilamette is often substituted for Fuggle, and Fuggle is often substituted for Kent Golding. Hallertau varieties tend to have quite a different character from those listed above.

+1. I say Willamette is a better substitute for EKGs. I think that Hallertaus are a bit more spicy and earthy. Just my 2 cents.
