Horizon substitute?

What's a good sub for horizon? I'm brewing Jamil's american amber and can't track it down locally.

Chinook?

I always use Magnum in place of Horizon as a clean bittering hop. Chinook will give a harsher bitterness.

Warrior is a good replacement too.

Yeah, I used Chinook as a sub the first time around and it was a bit harsh and piney.

+1 for warrior and magnum. Northern brewer might work as well and maybe even Nugget (but that may be kind of dank).

Warrior is quickly replacing Magnum as my go-to bittering hop for most beers. Really diggin on it lately. But really, both Magnum and Warrior are clean bittering hops, so it's not going to make a world of difference either way.

Why is that? I've been using Magnum as it's easier to get, but my supplier just said he's going to start carrying Warrior as well. I guess it's usually a little higher in AA%, making it slightly more economical to use, but any other real reason?
