Florida Beers

Mon Dec 21, 2009 7:12 am

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I'm not sure where to post this. I put it in off topic, but I'm going to try here as well.

Well, the mrs is in Florida. She's probably about 30-60 minutes north of Orlando. She's willing to bring some beers back for me.

So I'm wondering which beers she should bring that we can't get back here in Ohio? She has limited space. She rode down with her parents and can probably bring back 2-3 six packs.

Thanks guys!

Cigar City is certainly one to grab, but bottles can be hard to find.

St. Somewhere is well worth finding, and they put everything in 750ml bottles. Belgian style ales, I think they all are bottled with brett, and use indigenous Florida ingredients.

Orlando Brewing Co is an organic brewery near you, but they only distribute close by Orlando so I have not had the chance to sample their wares yet.

Dunedin Brewery puts out some good stuff; particularly the seasonals.
What's on tap: Cream Ale, Imperial Blonde
Secondary: British Amber,
Primary: APA

I worked there before their original brewer resigned. Honestly, you're not missing much. Stick to Cigar City
