I just orderd some oak spirals from my LHBS and should have then in a couple of days. They don't normally stock them. I read a thread on homebrewtalk.com and got some advice. One guy on there took the spirals and soaked one in burboun (not sure for how long) and then put one in his secondary for a week and a half.. I will probably use both as there's too in a set and I'm a fan of excess. I just had goose island's burboun county stout and all I can say is holy shit, it was a 2008 bottle and poured like black syrup. Friggin fantastic.
