Hook up a beer out quick connect to your gas line, give a short burst of CO2 through the beer out connector, and force the trub back out the tube. If it doesn't work, then go ahead and take it apart, but taking it apart give you mroe opportunity to muck something up.

Good luck!

I dry hopped mine Friday evening... smells great!

D'oh!

I'll do that first, then disassemble, then siphon. Thanks.

That did the trick. How to Disappear Completely is pouring. It's undercarbonated, but pouring. So tonight, I'll put the CO2 on 'er and see if I can get it carbonated.

How does it taste?

Well, it's a hop delivery device, so it tastes hoppy. It doesn't look like a DIPA. It's a it too dark for that. It smells like a DIPA, but the aroma is fading much faster than Tasty APA's did. I don't get any malt flavor, just a big piney hop finish. I was afraid this would be excrutiatingly bitter, but it's actually quite smooth. C'mon, CO2. Get in this thing!

Sounds like a great brew to make. I love high gravity brews but looking for something lighter so I don't get so fat so quick. Sounds like a good way to get the hops in looking forward to brewing this. I think I'm going to up the Maris Otter though to 5lb so I get at least to 1.035 as I normally hit 65% or so efficiency. Yum. Hops hops hops. Lovin' hops,

Here's my impression so far. Huge aroma; tobacco, pine needles, juicy fruit (i.e. the chewing gum), citrus peel, camphor. Flavour is likewise massive with hop flavour dominating (particularly the tobacco and a hint of raw onion?), finishing with a powerful, lingering although surprisingly not harsh bitterness. There are hints of bready malt flavours on the finish, but these are elusive. Very dry beer (right the way through), with a medium body.

I kind of agree. I don't get juicy fruit, or onions. I couldn't put a finger on it, but I do taste a little bit of tobacco in mine.

Well, first carbonated glass. I get that tobacco aroma skipper mentioned. Nice beer, but the hops have diminished quite a bit in the three weeks it's been in the keg. Now I wanna know how yours came out.

I transferred this to the keg today, smelled and tasted great! I drank almost a whole glass pre carbonation!!! (My gravity sample).

This is a hop overload, but delicious so far! I hope it stays this good!!!
