Summit Price Drop and didnt have to raise Centennial pricing

Thu Jun 25, 2009 2:41 am

Fellow Boiling Brothers (and sistas!) in Arms,

I just made a $5 price drop on the Summit per pound pricing, so after the coupon its down to $29.10 a pound now, which is just a buck eightone an ounce (when buying by the pound, per ounce price hasn't changed)! I also didn't end up needing to raise the Centennial pricing like I thought I would, my cost did go up about six bucks a pound but only for a small supply, it has gone up a little bit but not enough to make me want to go through the hassle of raising the price lol. You know, it takes a whole ten seconds or so to change a price.. :P Anywho thanks as always for keeping us busy hit that donate button when you get a chance, and enjoy your hops!

I stole this from a website after some googling as I havent brewed with them yet.

"Scratch #20-2009: Apollo Imperial Ale
ON TAP AND CASES (on sale noon on June 17th)
O.G.: 18.5 Plato
A.B.V.: 7%
I.B.U.’s: 115
Malt: Pils, Munich, Crystal
Yeast: House Ale Yeast
Kettle Hops: Apollo, Warrior, Palisade, Amarillo
Hopback: Apollo, Columbus

Scratch #20 has been dubbed Apollo Imperial Ale because of our experimentation with a new hop variety.

Apollo hops are high alpha acid with an intense aroma. Married with other high alpha hops, with almost two pounds of hops added per barrel produced, AIA has an intense staying power in the back of the throat. After a long discussion between Chris, John and the brewers, they dubbed this hop flavor stinky grapefruit with a hint of perfume. The dark color might lead you to believe the some malt may shine through; but no, the hops are the true player in this ale."
