Guess what I had at Turkey day dinner!!

The wifes cousin busted out a bottle of cellard 1997 Anchor Christmas brew :D Awwwwww Yeahhhhhh!!!

Friggin thing was awesome. It was a nice dark color with a tan head that stuck around for a while. Good lacing on the glass. Immediate aroma of figs. Nothing in the way of hops. Finished a little on the sweet side. Nice warming feeling after drinking.

awesome beer.. and Im lucky enough to be getting another bottle for my own cellar. He said he has 2 or three more magnum size bottles in his cellar. :D :D :D :D

Nice. An 11 year old brew... wow. Was the top sealed with wax?

Nope... It was just a standard crown with foil over that... I have no clue what the original ABV was.. cant find it on the bottle anywhere...

I just took the Anchor tour and asked the guide what the ABV of this year's brew was. I was shocked when he said something between 5%-6%.
