Substitution for East Kent Goldings

Ill take a vote from you guys. What do you think is better Willamete or Hallertauer MF for EKG Sub?

Isn't Willamette pretty much US grown Fuggle? That seems like it would me more close. What kind of beer are you putting it in? I think that matters.

Willamette is a better substitute for East Kent Golding than Hallertau Mittelfruh. As Chupa mentioned, Wilamette is often substituted for Fuggle, and Fuggle is often substituted for Kent Golding. Hallertau varieties tend to have quite a different character from those listed above.

+1. I say Willamette is a better substitute for EKGs. I think that Hallertaus are a bit more spicy and earthy. Just my 2 cents.
