If I remember my metrics 1ml = 1g so 1 mg would be 1/1000 ml (of water, oil is less dense so lets for giggles say 2/1000 ml.... that aint much kids.

Just read the first post and have to just add this. I recently downloaded a copy of a variety of podcasts and brewcrazy made it 10 min. Audio was o.k., but the content was just not up to par on an informative level or entertainment level.

Thanks J.

Sorry to hear that Timmy, the first several shows John did with the dog were dry, monotone and just plain sucked. He has increased his audio arsenal and sounds much better of late. The material, well, thats another story. There has not been a lot of informational content lately, but it is also on the upswing, kinda like a few of other casts where die hard listeners were complaining about show quality.

I could be wrong here, but 1 mg = 5 average sized drops.

Please correct me if I am off on this one.

Sorry guy's to be out of the game for so long... but happy to be back!

1. the density of olive oil is approx 850 KG/CU.M meaning that 1ml of oil weighs +- 0.85mg
2. The size of a drop is dependent on the dropping device (medicine dropper?) and the surface tension of the material; the mass of the drop will depend on the density of the material. For water at room temperature and a standard glass medicine dropper roughly 20 drops = 1 ml. So 1 drop would equal 0.050 g or 50 mg. For olive oil that would be approx 42.5 mg...

1 millilitre (equivalently 1 centimeter cubed) of water is equal to 1 gram.

The relationship above only holds true for water at 4 deg celcius. The density of water changes with temperature so at any other temperature 1 ml of water not be equal to 1 gram(although it will be close).

cheers, Urbain
