I’m considering scaling an existing recipe up to getting a bigger beer. Probably adjusting OG such that alcohol will increase about 3-4 vol. How do you do that best if you want to keep the characteristics of the original beer? Should you mainly increase your basemalts to bump up OG, or should you increase all your grains to keep the percentages steady? And hops, would you mainly bump up the early additions to keep the BU/OG balance, or should adjust all your additions?
Any considerations will e appreciated.
