Burners for Bruti

Mon Jun 23, 2008 4:01 pm

In Lonnie's BYO article he lists the H209 burners at morebeer, but all I'm seeing are the H209n burners, which are low pressure. These are not interchangeable correct?
What is everyone else using?
I've seen some mention of the banjo and hurrican type cookers; are those better or worse?
Does morebeer use the H205's on their sculptures?

Thanks for your help!

I use three H212 burners. Low Pressure Propane.

I use this regulator H212A

If I could find those smaller 10 jet burners I would have used them for the HLT and Mash Tun. I would still use the big 21 jet H212 burners for the boil. But all big burners still work great on my Brutus.

I hope this helps,

So then are those attached to a small propane tank with the low pressure regulator, or on of those big house sized propane tanks?

Just a regular BBQ propane tank with that low pressure regulator.

On the sixth picture you can see the propane tank I use.

I am also building a Brutus clone. I was wondering if I built it with low pressure propane if it would be very hard to convert to natural gas down the road? Is there more to it than just replacing the burners and replaceing the source of the gas with a NG line? I think the ASCO valves will work with either gas.
