I'd go for something like this:

70% efficiency:
30 IBUs total

9 lbs Pale Malt (or 6 1/2 lbs Pale LME)
1 lb Crystal 10L
(Calculate your malt bill so you hit an OG of ~1.050)

hop it so you add an oz at each of 15 mins, 10 mins, and flameout using cascade/centennial/amarillo/and or Simcoe hops
Then calculate your bittering addition so you add enough bittering hops at 60 to bring the total up to 30 ibus.
Irish moss at 10 mins
Cal Ale yeast

That will give you a nice, clean, mellow, simple but still tasty lawnmower beer.

I made a cream ale on Saturday...

6.6 lbs. Pale LME

1.0 oz Liberty - 60 min
0.5 oz Liberty - 1 Min.

WLP001-Cal Ale

I made it for my upcoming wedding and all the BMC drinking family I have coming in town.
