Got her done. That is a gear motor that turns 260 rpm's. She works like a charm.

Timx, why didn't you do a direct drive? Those right angle gearmotors are perfect for that? If the rotation was not right, I am pretty sure that you can take apart the head and switch the driveshaft to the other side. Much safer than that belt. Nice looking stand!

Built mine from a surplus half horse motor and good old
American engineering and a CNC router. Good with tool, not so with the computer, I could e-mail you a pix but this site is too hard to post pix on!

I love my mill, you can load 40 lbs in the hopper and grind in two minuets.
Brew and drink more better beers!!!

It is an old motor so I did not want to chan
ge the drive shaft around. But, I just now noticed that I can change the shaft on the mill around.

Well duh!!

I might change it it a direct drive. I they are pretty cheap from McMaster-Carr, and the look cool!!
