No worries DB, family comes first.

Anyone bottle yet? I'm planning on this Saturday/Sunday. Were we going to try and ship next week?

Yep. I bottled mine last Saturday. I am going out of town on Thursday. So I am going to send mine out a little early. Everyone else should send theirs out as close as possible to next Monday, the 17th. I should really do the drawing tonight. We had 16 with Dubba. I guess we are down to 15 now. 5 groups of three. I'll send out the emails tonight.

We can discuss them in the chat during the Session on the 23rd.

I'll be bottling this weekend too. I racked it into a keg on Sunday (I think... days are running together right now) It has been the only thing in my kegerator for a few days... Should be carbed today! Mmmm beer tonight!!

Oh, sorry got off topic a bit there. Uh, I don't know who I'm supposed to send bottles too either. Heck, I'll enter it in the NHC too, why not!

Sorry, I got caught up with some housework before my trip on Thursday. I have everyone's info and I will be sending out the emails tonight regarding the tasting groups. It sounds like we have a couple of stragglers, but we are still on track.

A few posts back we talked about the "overall" judging to be performed on the Session. In an effort to not inundate them with all 16 beers, and consume an entire Session with a boring competition, we decided that we would each collectively pick a "tasting group winner" - and have that person send theirs into HQ. To keep it impartial, you will not be judging your own brew. You will each send your beer out to four people. You will receive 4 beers from four other people. When you get together as a tasting group, you can feel free to sample your own for comparison - but the others in your group will not have your beer. It sounds a little complicated, but it will all be clear in the email... Each group should choose a leader that will document the findings of the group - perhaps in a BJCP tasting sheet that can be sent to the brewer.

I think it would be easy enough to set up four virtual tasting rooms in the chat - maybe during the March 30th Session? That will give Crut and Lars enough time to get their beers out.

How does that sound?

I think that sounds like a great idea! I look forward to my email!

My update: I thought I had forgotten to hook up the CO2, but when I checked last night, it looks like I did in fact remember to hook it up, but I forgot to adjust down the pressure (since Scottish Ales are supposed to be lower). I unhooked it, degassed it, and I will probably do that for a few days until things get better...
