As luck would have it, I had to help my dad do some work to the new addition to their house... so alas... no brewing for me today. :(

I am going to have to try to fit it in (he he) next Saturday.

I finally got to brew. I am finishing up the mash and getting ready to sparge now. Just finished up my dinner of Fillet Mignon, homemade mac and cheese, green beens, and a Fort Collins IPA.

Should be boiling inside of an hour. The finger is holding together so far.

Got'r done! She came in at 1.044 after a 120min. boil, pitched at 66F. Tucked her away in the fermentation room to ferment at 62-64F.

The rig is behind the kettle. I do have a pretty major design flaw, I don't have enough room under the kettle spigot to use the chiller via gravity power. So I have to pull the kettle off of the rig and lift it on top of the HLT. This gives me just enough fall to use the chiller. I haven't decided if I want to buy a pump or try my luck using a wort wizard. But I need to do something, It kind of sucks lifting a kettle of boiling wort.

Hey bad rock I see your using a counter flow chiller now. I have a page for you that a guy made a chiller and used the moving chill water to pull the wort out of the kettle. Here is the link check out the turbo cfc http://suburb.semo.net/jet1024/BeerHome.htm
