Brewery Question

Here is my question. I saw this brewery at highgravity home brew. http://www.highgravitybrew.com/productcart/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=269

I dont want to spend 900 bucks so i decided to use my existing equipment to build one. I was going to get a converted keggle and use my cooler. All i would need is a pump and a temp controler.

What i was going to do is hook the pump up to the temp controler then heat up water in the keggle and put in my heat exchanger then it would control my mash with the pump. For sparge i would just pump the water from the keggle throung the cooler or something like that. I could also use the pump to recirculate to clear up the mash and sparge. anyone see any problems with this. also would this system be a herms or a rims. im confused. also sorry for the lengthy post.

That would be a HERMS.

How exactly are you heating the HLT? Electric? You may have some issues mixing up SS steel, water, and electricty. Theirs is plastic. I'm not telling you NOT to do that, but I would certainly be leery of it.

I'm sure Push will have a lot more and better insight into this than I have.
