The motor mounts are slotted so it can move forward or back for tensioning.
The motor is one a friend gave me that just sat in his garage. Its 1/6th hp. I had to replace the power cord on it so i thought why not just install a switch on it as well. The small pulley is 1 3/4" on the motor and 3 1/2" on the crusher.

I have yet to hear a negative word about the BC from anyone who owns one. I got a JSP abut 6 years ago on ebay and replaced the hopper. I like it well enough...

+1 I have had my maltmill since 99 or so and have not been able to wear it out yet... I like the hopper too Balto, I really need to make one like that.

If she's been a good girl she gets to go in the top box so she can see the goings-on. If not, well, it's bottom box time....

And she doesn't so much get "let out" as my wife usually just wedges a tit in through the lid opening to feed her. That way if she spits up the mess is contained. As is the crying.

i used a mini keg for the hopper , holds 6 lb and looks cool as hell . i run off of a drill , and mounted it to a 5 gal lid to stop dust.
