McDole's Amber Ale?

Tue Jan 15, 2008 4:13 am

In the Lodi show, folks make reference to Mike's amber ale recipe. As I probably won't find myself 3000 miles from home, visiting the studio, anytime soon (much less on a day in which Mike happens to have brought samples of his amber), I'm hoping Mike might be willing to post a rough version of his recipe here. Maybe?

Who is this "Mike" you speak of? The only McDole I am aware of in the studio is one Tasty McDole... just sayin'. :D

Tasty McDole get on the forum from time to time. Patients is a virtue!

But I agree, Tasty McDole ought to publish the next book, "Brewing Tasty styles, 80 award winning recipes that even Justin can brew"

Here is a link to Tasty's Brown recipe. It was the same one Jamil featured on the JZ show.

Tasty McDole's Brown

This recipe is absolutely delicious. I doing my damndest to get my hands on cascades just to brew this. Tasty's IPA is amazing also. Any recipe of Tasty's is an ace in the hole, you can't go wrong.
Too much of a good thing....is a very good thing!

Jumping over to calvey's great hop availability chart referenced here ... http://thebrewingnetwork.com/forum/vie ... php?t=7471 ... I see leaf hops should be available right now at FreshHops, B3 and Williams and pellets at B3, Northern Brewer and Williams.

Failing all that I might be willing to trade you some cascade hops for some bottles of the finished product!
