My B3 1200 Clone

I've been busy this weekend. I've been wanting to build a sculpture and thought about gravity, but I hate ladders so I decided on a horizontal system. This took two days to build. The material is superstrut from HD. It's expensive stuff but I like the fact that I can move things around when I want to without getting a welder involved. A chop saw really cuts this stuff well. Thats a well used Hurricane burner from NB for the boil kettle.

I will be adding at least one pump, and will probably get another kettle from Sabco with a false botton for my MT.

That's really nice. I was in Costco the other day and saw a steel unit with heavy duty wire shelving, each shelf holds 2000 lbs. It cost $145.



With the wire I think you could fasten burners wherever you wanted underneath, leaving a continuous smooth surface for the pots to sit on. And, since it's a grid, it would be easy to run tubing, etc.



It looks like the infinitely adjustable shelving would give the option for gravity or horizontal brewing methods, along with plenty of storage space.

Yeah, I'm going to do things to remove heat from the frame. I was going to use tile to insulate the pot from the frame or some other material. I haven't decided yet.

I was wondering about that as well. One of the reasons I haven't done many AG is that the our sculpture is so tall, and it's very difficult for me to lift the heavy ass keg up there. I would be interested to see how this works out.
