Well, after reading the article in BYO on building a Brutus Ten, I went that route.....since I had the steel already. Doing the final stages of getting the gas plumbed, then she'll be ready for a test brew! It was built exactly to the Brutus Ten specs in the BYO, but Lonnie used Stainless Steel, where I used regular steel, and then had it powder coated.

Well, her she is.........in all her glory! Finally got the plumbing and wiring finished...had to wait on my ASCO switches to come in. Can't wait to fire her up....hopefully this week-end.

Wow!! that looks awesome. What did it cost to powder coat the stand.

He only charged me $40 to powder coat the stand and the control panel......but I took it to him already sand blasted, so all he had to to was the powder. He also did alot of stuff for my 51 Chevy,,,,,,he gives my pretty good prices.

Thanks for the info. I have powder coating company here in town. I would like to have my 1550 coated. I'll have to pay them a visit and see what they'll charge.

That is a seriously beautiful job on the kettles. I never would have thought they could get that shiny. I may have to try that with mine.....

I must say whitebeard, your kettles inspired me to do that this spring. Or maybe later this winter if i get bored. How long did it take you? Ive got all the required equipment, just wanting to know how much of my precious sled riding time I'm going to blow.
