My first bottle of Star San arrived!
Does anyone uses pH Strips to check it or is a meter the way to go?

I use the strips. The meters are expensive and the tips have to be replaced fairly frequently.

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.

Lufah: Thanks, which type of strips do you use?

I'm guessing the "wine range (2.8 to 4.4)" of economy strips at NorthernBrewer

I think mine are just the generic ph strips. The wine ones would actually be better. I haven't managed to run out of the ones I have yet.
