Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.

I got a turkey fryer setup from Sam's club for about $60 I think it's a Sunjoy. It included a 7.5 gallon SS pot. I brew AG and usually get about 7 gallons to boil. I have to watch for boilovers, but it works well for me. If you start with 5.5 or 6 gallon it should work out great.
Peace!

Get a turkey fryer. They are way worth it! It gets you out of the kitchen and out of SWMBO's way!! :stik
The boil starts faster, and you could just hose down the messes (I brew outside).

Thanks for the feedback. I have a great brew pot, with valve and thermometer, though its a bit wide with a diameter of 15 inches. The Bayou burner, sold by HD, has a sleave around it that limits pot size to 12 inches. I'm going to take a look at what Lowes has to offer.

If you have a 15" pot, you may have trouble getting a stable turkey fryer. Speaking as someone who has knocked over a fryer full of wort (that SUCKED), stability is your number one concern. You can buy the burners seperately and have a little stand built by a local welder that fits your pot exactly. Probably cheaper than an entire turkey fryer with a pot you don't need.
Be wary of strong drink. It can make you shoot at tax collectors -- and miss.

I have the same burner as Lufah. My 15" pot fits on it perfectly. No stability problems. Actually it has a little lower center of gravity than my skinny turkey fryer pot. It's been awhile, but I think my was marketed as a Coleman Seafood Cooker. Came with a heavier, shallower pot than the regular turkey cooker. Was only about $30. I like it better than the Metal Fusion cooker I also have.

The Camp Chef cooker sold by B3 is flush all across the top, so virtually any flat-bottom kettle will sit on it solidly. Converted kegs (15.5" diameter) work fine as well.
