Need Advice

I posted awhile ago I had drug some iron up from the junk yard and was getting ready to build a brew stand for the brew coop. I got it pretty well done. It is mostly steel pipe and bed frame angles. It is strong as can be. I got up on it and jumped up and down and it does not give. It is actually anchored into the floor of the brew coop, so there is no way for it to go anywhere.

I was going to take the burners from the cookers I have but decided I do not want to do that. We use them from time to time for other things so I want to get new burners and parts. Where is the best place to get them? It seems to me like most of the rigs I have seen have only one regulator and hose feeding all three burners. Is this right?

Burners

Mort,
I use Camp Chef burners myself with only the single regulator for all three. Works like a champ.

As far as what burners to get...that's going to depend on what $$$ you want to spend and the amount of BTU's your looking for. My bit of advice, don't skimp on $$$ and settle for the lower BTU units--you'll wish you spent the extra money later for 'more' power.

The big internet brew stores all sell burners and affiliated parts.

Yep that will do. I looked at Beer and More Beer but I thought they were too proud of their burners. Thank you Mr Monster.

I have that burner on a home-made crawfish boiler than I inherited. It will drain a 10 lb propane tank in about 1 hour when running all out. I wouldn't dream of doing that unless I wanted to carmelize the bottom inch of my wort. You will have to either stir or install it a little to one side to get a good roll when boiling if you want to go all out. Just turn it down once you get up to the boil or it will eat all of your propane.

I have 2 of them under my boil pot. I only use 1/2 a tank running both of them for 2 hours.
