Molson Canadian Clone

Hey,

My mom is a big fan of Molson Canadian, and I was going to try to figure out how to replicate a batch of Canadian. I am an extract brewer, so no mashing recipes please

The closest thing I can think of is a classic american pilsner however you would need to be able to lager, mash either rice or corn, and be very capable of other skills which unless your extract batches are full boils, would be out of reach of the kitchen brewer. Maybe an American Pale Ale would be an easier to achieve style as long as your extract is very fresh. Good luck and then again I might be completely wrong

hmmm... good call with the American Pale Ale, thats what I've got fermenting right now

hopefully she'll like it, but if anyone has a recipe that replicates Molson Canadian using extract and steeping only, let me know.

As for the full wort boil, I've been doing that by doing 10 liter batches.

I think thats what the Lager LME is thats offered by United Canadian Malt...

You will find that United Canadian makes some of the best malt extracts you can buy. Their stuff is much more fermentable than almost any of the others.

Is there any chance you have any of the fermentability information on their extracts? I am going to be purchasing two 30 kg pails soon (possibly tommorow) and exact information to help with brewing would be helpful.
