The BN is beyond compare...Thanks

Tue Mar 06, 2007 3:13 pm

Hello, I am new to this forum, but not new to the BN. Was going to do the first customary post in the newbie section, but wanted to commence this journey with a big well done to Justin and the brewcasters. I started listening to the archives a few months ago and have recently completed my journey to where I am living in the now. Because new to me shows now only come once a week, I have strayed a bit and checked out other beer podcast. My conclusion…damn all those other shows really suck when compared to the BN. I raise my glass (Hobgoblin Strong Ale) to the BN. Thanks for doing such damn a fine job.

I second what PE says, hear, hear!!

I think it's more to do with the radio show style than that every other show sucking. It's a style thing for me.

The thing is, TBN has a different aim than any other beer podcast. The aim of TBN seems to be tons of information on homebrewing and tons of juvenile fun, not necessarily in that order.

I love everybody with TBN, even if their juvenility (it is a word now dammit) occasionally gets in the way of the information. The long format is very compatible with my unfortunate current working environment (delivery driver).

Keep doing what you are doing, because it works for me.

You sound like you may have combining experience??? Actually when that pic was taken we where fixin something that broke, but yes I love driving that thing.

Let me step back a bit from my “suck” comment, as an amorous brewing community is important. Some of other shows have good info and are well worth a listen, but compare that to TBN who always has expert brewers, who does a live show, who goes for three hours+, and always has loads of laughs. I meant to imply that while the other shows may be good, TBN is in a league of its own. Prost.

No prob MTfarmboy. I wasn't taking a jab. I was only giving an opinion. But I have to change my opinion. I found a really small podcast on the beer subject ( not a brewcast, beercast or craft brewer show), that sounded like something I would have made. I won't give the name, they might blossom into something good one day.
