New user down under

Hi all,

Just joined the forum. I live in north-central New South Wales, Australia. Originally a Yank, from VA and UT and most recently CA.

BREWING: Been brewing on and off for 19 years (more off than on). Extract, then 2 yrs AG, then a 5-yr hiatus focusing on drinking the commercial offerings in Northern California. But I'm starting up again, largely because there's very little great beer in Oz and none of it is affordable. But also for the fun of it. I'm starting on extract. As money and time permit I may switch back to AG.

BEERS: I favor big, crazy beers of any style. I respect moderation but choose to avoid it myself.

BN: I just started listening to the Session podcasts a few months ago and have quickly become addicted.

"SCHRODINGER"? My username is my dog's name, and I named him after the physicist. I'm a science nerd.

Anyway, great forum and great network!

Cheers

I knew about him long before, but at least with the show other people catch the reference now. Pretty much everything else I say still gets me blank stares though. :)

Heh. All true. Schrodinger has a cat, and doesn't, at the same time. The plan was to call the cat 'Schrodinger's cat', but my partner at the time didn't go for it.

I live in Narrabri, two hrs NW of Tamworth. No beer variety, but the folks at Coles' liquor shop have kindly ordered a few cartons of Cooper's Stout for me now and again.

While in Sydney for work I discovered a Belgian style beer from Pt Macquarie at BWS. Really good!

Any brewers in 'remote' (a relative term in Aus) NSW?
