Gas valve not fully closing - Tower of Power

So I have a TOP and it seems that he gas valve does not fully close when the TOP tell it to. There is a small pilot light amount of gas being let out. If I turn the gas line valve off that feeds that valve it will go out, but gas will leak.

This is on the MT RIMS so it is always got heat, not been going on for long. Just started last brew day, Sunday to be exact. Any ideas on, solutions or cause?

I have sent Blichmann an email, but they only check it every 5 days.

Did you ever get this squared away? I'm considering a ToP as a Christmas gift (to me of course), and am curious what Blichmann said about this.

To be honest I have had noting but issues with this thing. They have fixed all issues but it is just one thing after another. Also, a new one since this post.

Issue #1: Some board inside was wrong to start with, would not ignite. Sent back and fixed free.

Issue #2: Gas valve went south, see above. A new valve was sent out, good to go.

Issue #3 (as of last brew 10-2-13): The connection on the probe has a short and has to be rigged to read correctly, at the box. I got it to work and will see if I can replicate the fix. Just hate having it gone to be fixed for 3 weeks at a time.

I have not read anyone else having this many issues so could be be me being a dumb ass. I do want to say though, when it is working it is bad ass. Just getting it to work all the time is the issue...

Sounds pretty typical for Blichmann. Great products, horrible QC. When you get a good one, the only way you'll give it up is by prying it out of your cold dead hands. But frequently it takes 2 or 3 times to get that one. That's the story of almost every Blichmann product I've bought & I have quite a few. I'm a little surprised he just didn't replace it the first time instead of doing surgery over and over.

Mine have been pretty bullet proof. My spark ignitor needed to be adjusted recently, but other than that, it has been fine. Must have gotten good ones.
