DOTW is either the same 5 guys calling in, as someone else mentioned, or a bunch of young early 20's guys pretending to be far drunker than they really are. I agree with the 75% fake projection elsewhere in the thread.

While we're losing DOTW, can we lose the random sound effects too? Every time someone makes a joke, about half-a-second too late there's a relevant sound effect. Everyone stops talking, the conversation grinds to a halt as the unfunny sound effect plays out, and the BCasters have to get the conversation back on track. It's never a smooth transition back to conversation. There are a few exceptions, like Virtual Tasty, but other than that it's just jarring to hear the conversation interrupted every once in a while with a barrage of sound effects.

That's about my only complaint about the show, though. I've really been enjoying the newer episodes, and the changes in the last couple of months have been utterly fantastic. Some guys are going to complain that we're just going over old ground, but really? We've said all there is to say about this style or that fermentation technique? The Brewcasters Showdowns have been awesome and very informative, and the dual-focus on both craft beer and home brew has been done really well. Good job brewcasters, I say, and the naysayers can suck a dick.

I'll admit, I faked it once.

I felt shame.

Later that night I rubbed one out.

Hell, I can't even understand half the sound effect. Sounds like a someone talking w/ a mouth full of marbles.

That's not a sound effect, that's Doc, live in the studio. :D

I was glad to see the soundboard go. I know when Justin responded to my feedback he was trying to give Moscow a chance but he did say that he's heard it used before where it sounded good. I guess I've just never listened to those shows. I can't say I've ever heard a soundboard not sound cheesy or in the BN's case, completely out of place. The clapping is annoying, but so is the moan on the A&E commercial, and especially when he's just playing with it at the end of the show... like the Beevo clip mixed in with the outro song a couple shows back. It's never added to the show. Sorry Moscow.

Moscow as a producer is the best thing to happen to the Session. Moscow trying to be morning zoo radio with the soundboard may have been the worst.

Small gripes, as I think the current Sessions have been some of the best. As was mentioned, the blend of craft brew industry along with the homebrew spotlights are great.

Still glad that Doc can somehow find a way to repeat the same thing for 30 minutes as well, although I'm still unsure if he needed to let the long fermentation beer lager some more  :asshat:

I'm a couple sessions behind on archive... shouldn't have read this if I didn't want spoilers.
